Opera Portable là phiên bản được chỉnh sửa của trình duyệt Opera, cho phép bạn chạy mà không cần cài đặt. Nhờ đó bạn có thể dùng Opera trên USB hay các đĩa CD. Ưu điểm của bản Opera Portable này là nó chỉ gồm 1 file chạy duy nhất, kích thước chỉ 7MB! Nó hoàn toàn không để lại dấu vết gì trên máy tính, bao gồm các file rác hay các khóa trong registry.

Opera Portable cung cấp 2 phiên bản: phiên bản Personal sẽ lưu trữ cấu hình của người dùng vào 1 file dữ liệu (bạn có thể lưu nhiều cấu hình tùy theo các profile khác nhau) và phiên bản One-Use sẽ xóa sạch hoàn toàn dữ liệu sau khi chạy. Bản Personal thích hợp với người dùng USB, trong khi bản One-Use thích hợp để chạy trên đĩa CD.
